	CHARDEP - MISSION

	To form Community Based Organisations and involve them in social, economic and political development

	To reduce the spread and impact of HIV/AIDS/STDs and to promote primary health care for the poor and vulnerable in a sustainable manner.

	To invest in the development of children with focus on the poor, orphans, abandoned and mentally retarded.

	To provide shelter and care for the aged, for destitute women, and the mentally ill.

	To promote education and adult literacy with focus on drop-outs and women

	To impart skill trainings and provide opportunities for viable Income Generation Activities.

	To protect and promote the marine and forest eco-systems and undertake soil and moisture conservation activities.

	To intervene in times of natural / man-made disasters and undertake relief and rehabilitation measures.

	To promote good health and proper nutrition with special focus on women and children

	To protect and promote endangered species of flora and fauna

	To take action to prevent cruelty to animals and establish shelters for abandoned domestic animals like dogs and cows.

	To cultivate medicinal herbs and spread awareness regarding the advantages of herbal medicine.

	To undertake studies and research for information dissemination and to provide trainings to NGOs and CBOs.

	To influence public policies in favour of the socio-economically backward and to network with like-minded organizations.

	To make modern technology and innovations reach the rural people for their development
